Our commitment is to reduce the gaps
We work with urban and rural educational communities, by providing them tools in order to help them develop abilities for XXI Century. Our interventions are beyond the schools and look for the participation of all the community. Thus, thanks to teachers, students and education professionals, we work on projects of educational innovation in order to achieve deep knowledge.
Although the gaps that divide us in every field are painful, the housing standards, the high urban segregation, the density differences of the territories, economies of scale that stimulate crowds, an inadequate access to equipments and services, deficient means of transport, long time in transportation, among others, are where inequality shows not only its most concrete and visible face but also an extreme normalization from its everyday nature. In Fundación 99 we believe it is possible to improve these indexes from the social collaboration and the community service, both in the most vulnerable urban areas and in the rural world.
Through training and providing concrete abilities and competences, we empower those who need to drive their sustainable businesses in order to support the local economic development of the passed over groups. The goal is to contribute to rise sustainable cities and communities that continue growing and getting strong after our intervention.

Fundación 99 launches its first National Survey called “Rural Education in Chile”, with the objective to know how rural educational communities in Chile are dealing with the current health crisis.
We invite you to join “Today’s Rural Education: Challenges and Opportunities” Webinar Series, to raise awareness on the challenges, opportunities and good practices in Latin American rural education.
Our organization signed an important agreement with the Research Thematic Network on Rural Education (RIER) from Mexico, with the purpose of continuing the contribution to rural schools’ education in Latin America.
